The paragraph that matters most

Sudden vision change is an emergency. Sudden loss of sight, a curtain or shadow moving across your vision, a sudden shower of floaters or flashes of light, eye pain with redness, or new double vision all need urgent medical assessment. They can indicate retinal detachment, acute glaucoma or a stroke, and some have a treatment window measured in hours.

See a doctor rather than buying a supplement for any of those, and keep your routine eye examinations regardless. Glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy are silent until they are not, and nothing in a capsule catches them. Retina Clear is not a treatment for macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts or diabetic retinopathy.

What Retina Clear is

A dietary supplement capsule for adults, sold in 30-capsule bottles and taken one a day with food. It is positioned as general nutritional support for eye health, visual comfort and antioxidant protection. Not a medicine, and not a treatment for macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or any other condition.

For adults over 18. Not for use during pregnancy or nursing — saffron in particular is avoided in pregnancy. If you smoke or used to smoke, do not start this without medical advice: the vitamin A here is beta carotene, and large trials found increased lung cancer risk among smokers taking beta carotene supplements. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist first if you take a blood thinner, diabetes medication or seizure medication, or manage a diagnosed eye condition. Never stop or reduce prescribed medication because you have started a supplement.

On the ingredient list

This site publishes none, and the homepage says why: no verified list could be established, and formulations in this category are revised between production runs and vary between sellers. The Supplement Facts panel on the bottle you receive is the authoritative description. Read it before your first capsule, particularly with a known allergy or anything you take on prescription. Where the label and this website disagree, the label is correct.

Ingredient interactions worth naming

Beta carotene and smoking. The vitamin A in this formula is beta carotene. Two large trials found an increase in lung cancer among smokers and former smokers taking beta carotene supplements, which is why the AREDS2 eye trial removed it from its own formula. If you smoke or used to, do not start this without medical advice.

Three antiplatelet ingredients. Ginkgo biloba, quercetin and grape seed extract all carry antiplatelet activity and all three sit in this blend — relevant alongside warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel or a DOAC, and worth telling a surgeon or dentist before any procedure. Vitamin E at 100% DV belongs in that conversation. Ginkgo has also been discussed in relation to seizure threshold.

Three glucose-related ingredients. Alpha lipoic acid, chromium and coleus forskohlii each have documented activity relating to blood sugar, which matters if you take insulin, metformin or a sulfonylurea. Saffron is avoided in pregnancy.

On the serving size

Follow the serving printed on your own label. The packages are described as 60, 90 and 180-day supplies across 2, 3 and 6 bottles of 30 capsules, which implies one capsule a day — but your label governs, not our arithmetic.

On timing and results

Nothing on this site predicts an outcome for you. Body weight and composition change for many reasons — food, movement, sleep, medication, medical conditions and simple week-to-week variation — most of which have nothing to do with a supplement. No controlled comparison is published for this product, so no improvement anyone experiences while taking it can be attributed to it.

On ratings, testimonials and photographs

No star average or customer count is published, because the five-star graphic on the reference page carries no count, no date range and no source. Three customer accounts appear on the homepage, reworded from the brand's own material and labelled as individual accounts rather than typical results. They make no claim about weight lost or results achieved, because the originals made none either.

On pricing

Prices shown here were accurate when written and savings are calculated against the $69 single-bottle rate on this site. The total, shipping and any live promotion at the official checkout are the binding figures.
